To obtain a copy of a report, please complete the Request for Police Report Form under forms along with the processing fee of $5 cash/check for each police report requested made payable to the Wright City Police Department in a self addressed stamped envelope or you may come to the office during normal business hours and request a copy at the window.
Police reports are available through the Records Division as a convenience to victims. The primary goal of the Records Division when releasing police reports is the protect the rights of those individuals named in the report. As a result, police reports can be retrieved from the Records Division for the following persons:
Persons involved in the incident (victim, suspect, property owner); family members of persons involved in the incident if the person involved in the incident is deceased (death certificate required) or incompetent (statement from doctor on letterhead required); and witnessess to an incident as well as Attorneys and Insurers for persons involved in the incident.
You will be asked to provide as much information about the requested report as possible, including:
- Date and place of occurance
- Incident Number
- Names of person involved
Reports that are not available for release are those that are closed or cases that are under investigation. Our office cannot release any type of report that has been or will be forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office or the Juvenile Office.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT FOR POLICE REPORTS.
Normal business hours for the Records Division are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm except holidays.
